Has anyone ever purchased from the Sruli Recht webstore before? I made a purchase a few days ago but received no confirmation, updates or notices whatsoever.

I have emailed them twice and tried contacting them on facebook, no reply at all.

I would really hate to file a paypal claim but Sruli Recht just doesnt seem interested in giving any notice even after payment

Can you share what you ordered?

Oh would they really have that fit I'm looking for? I've passed by their brick and mortar store a few times in SoHo, I will check out the fit. Much appreciated.

No problem. The RT made good quality stuff. But I just saw that you are new here and since you mentioned Topman and Levis I feel like I have to ask - Are you familiar with raw denim? cos these aren't going to be the same size as something from Levis, generally speaking.

I will definitely check them out. And yes I am familiar with raw denim. Thank you for all the help

Any tips on unshrinking clothing? My brother accidentally put my knit Schneider pants through the wash and now they fit like bell bottoms frown.gif((( I soaked them in a conditioner-cold water mix and stretched them, and the length is just about back to where they were before, but they are quite narrow through the leg now.

The words "wingtips" and "shorts" should never be used in the same sentence--or found on a male at the same time.

Are slim fit chinos from Banana Republic any good? <-- (I assume they go on sale often) Are there alternative brands anyone would recommend?
I'm sure everyone here would shun polyester anything. Cotton or silk is good.

They are about as good as any common as any mall brand chino. Affordable/decent. There's a whole thread dedicated to this topic:

Personally, I've been very impressed with a pair of slim fit chinos I bought from Denim & Supply which were very cheap on sale. They are slim fitting and have a lot of details of the much higher end RRL chinos like a button fly which I personally like.

Any suggestions on what kind of shoes go with this blazer and blue jeans? I will be wearing this to a wedding reception and the attire is very informal.

http://www.guessfactory.com/en/Catalog/View/men/blazers-jackets/guess-davis-zip-blazer/X31N05W4E00 - Indigo color

p.s. 1 -  before you guys comment on how cheap this blazer is, the groom bought it for me and couple of other so that we can all be in the same blazer. We have no concept of "best man", but if we had we three will be like that

p.s. 2 - I'm planning on wearing black shirt instead of white one. Comments/Suggestions welcome :)

Recently bought a pair of brown tweed trousers:

http://www.howardyount.com/products/herringbone-tweed-pants-brown

They're a little outside my grey/blue comfort zone and I'm curious what shirt/shoes colors to wear with them. They do have appear to have some green flecks in them like a rich complex tweed can. My workplace is no jacket/no tie so those aren't a near-term concern.

Any fail-safe ideas? Pics appreciated (Google image search oddly provided precious few). Thanks.

Hey all,

I have a question about a sweater and had no idea where else to ask it

i just received the following sweater in a small:

http://www.lids.com/ncaa/duke-blue-devils/20506418

absolutely LOVE the design but I'm a short guy, therefore this reaches a little below my crotch

is the length of a sweater something a tailor could fix? should i attempt to shrink it myself with a dryer?

or should i return it before doing any damage?

Return it, and get your money back. Its not worth it. Besides it's not a very nice sweater IMO, and you were robbed paying 70$ for a poly hoodie.

Edit: I see that you're new here, some of the best basic advice for people starting to "upgrade" their style is to ditch graphic tees and hoodies, and focus on simple decent basics.
