What's a versatile fall/winter coat for business wear?

Are black coats generally acceptable to pair with brown shoes or should we stay exclusively with navy jackets?

Depends on how cumbersome you want tying your shoes to be.

A car coat?

I personally wouldn't wear black with brown. I have navy, camel, brown, and grey jackets.

it can be any business casual coat: duffle coat, trench coat, over coat etc...

I presume it's best to stick with navy and gray coats. Thanks.

Sorry was suggesting a single breasted coat to you. I think duffel and pea coats are too casual for business wear.

Yup, I had straight-bar lacing on my boots for a single wear before I never wanted to have to loosen and tye them like that again.  Waxed laces made it even worse.

I'm pretty sure that depends upon the material/leather you choose.  Others can chip in more info.

It is horse leather. I read that the older models have a different sizing scheme ("sizing was all over the place") than the newer models, so I was hoping that somebody here has firsthand knowledge of the newer models.

Is there any consensus or top pics for the best t-shirt/undershirt? I'm looking for a really really lightweight T for use as an undershirt and so far the best I've found is the "summer" t-shirt from american apparel. The texture is right in terms of it's softness but it's not as lightweight as I would like. I'm looking for one that is even a little transparent because it's so thin. Can anyone give me any recommendations?

Hello, I'm looking for a pair of boots that are blake/rapid stitched with a J & FJ Baker & Co oak bark sole or Rendenbach valona sole. If there are other tanneries that make sole leather that is at least equal in quality to either of these two, that's fine - the only reason I list these two is because they seem to be held in high regard in several of the shoe/leather quality discussion threads.

There are several RTW shoemakers discussed in the Classic Menswear forum that use the aforementioned leathers and blake/rapid or hand welt construction, but they are mostly formal/business-wear shoes.

I'm looking for a pair of boots in the style at the following link: http://peternappi.com/products/mens-julius-nero-grey-stitch-boot

Thank you for your time.
