Where can I find good pictures of well worn/faded jeans made of lightweight material? Google was not of much help.

What is the proper name for this kind of black (dyed)..

vs. this kind of black (indigo like?)

One is colored one is like indigo denim but not, because it is black. With the former you can't get any decent fades, only with the latter, correct?

I'm seriously considering copping this, but I'm all about being able to wear things in many different combinations. Do you guys reckon that a checkered or striped shirt would be too busy to wear under this? Same with layering, would any sweater other than a neutral coloured one (or tan?) be too much?

Just wanted to check in with you guys before doing something stupid with my blazer.

So I went to my tailor today to dial in the sides for my navy blazer. He said it was necessary to take out the lining from the inside to taper the sides. Another way is to taper it from the back and not touch the linings on the inside at all.

He said to do it from the back is also cheaper since he would not have to take out the lining from the side and restitch. Looking for some insights. Thanks.

Where can I can get good stripe tees like this for under $30? Seems like a simple request but I can't find many for some reason.

i have a pair of 501's like in your first photo, and they haven't faded at all, they've just turned white at the edges, if that makes sense.  not a big fan of those pants.

First pair looks overdyed and the 2nd look like regular jeans. You get more fades with the latter because the weft is white whereas in the 1st pair the weft is black.

Weft! That's the new word for me.

OK, but how these [black] jeans should be called? 1st - overdyed, 2nd - black jeans with white weft or what? Thanks. You see, it's not that simple as blue indigo jeans. ;)
