I will be flying from Australia to the US in December to buy a US Navy Peacoat as well as a lot of shirts+pants+shoes. I plan to wear my blazer on the plane. Problem is I'll be coming back with both a blazer and peacoat. I really don't want to pack the blazer or peacoat because I only have one carry-on luggage; they're quite bulky and so won't fit with all my other clothes.

I have some ideas:

1. Wear blazer to US. Wear blazer+peacoat back to Australia

This will be fine when I leave US since it'll be freezing there but when I come back to Australia I might suffer from heat exhaustion since it'll be 32+ degrees Celsius (90+ Fahrenheit). I could take the peacoat off and hold it but it's going to be a hassle.

2. Ditch blazer and wear sweater to US. Wear peacoat back to Australia

This will solve the blazer issue. Problem is when I get to US I will be freezing with just a sweater alone. I might stack on another sweater but not sure if this will be warmer than a single blazer. However, my blazer is made of polyester so I guess it won't be that warm. Also I don't get to wear my navy blazer to nice places and get better service on the plane/hotel.

What should I do?

It's not going to be that bad as long as you go from the airport to the Hotel. Just layer up as much as possible and I think you should be fine.

If I wear black/white primarily, would this color be a suitable match for my outfits? =/ No MMM near my place so i'd have to risk an online order

more suited in the "should I or shouldn't I buy"-thread but anyway, I like it

I need to buy some Black boots for casual wear = shops, pubs/bars, cinema, out with friends n girlfriend

Im 27 y/o

i was looking at tassle loafers to wear with the black leather bomber but i think boots would go better?

Casually i would wear chinos or denim jeans, a casual shirt - OCBD plains, flannel, checked, vertical stripes, with the black leather bomber jacket

i also have a winter coat , a black jerssey/trench coat that i will wear with black footwear

But what type of black boots are suitable for my clothes? ideally the most comfortable style to wear all day

Are chinos and casual shirts suitable with a black leather bomber jacket and black boots?

if not whats more suitable?

thank you

Tassel loafers are for the 40+ crowd. At best. And probably not in black, probably some "timeless" shade like color #8.

Black jodhpurs/Chelsea/side zip boots.

Your leather bomber is probably very conservative so Brooks/J. Crew catalog-esque MC lite probably is acceptable.

I wanted an opinion on these boots:

Is there some kind of way i can wear these casually without looking dumb (they are vintage field/hunting boots but i don't hunt)?

What is your(anyone) opinion about Men chelsea boots, ugly..or fashionable or a whatever thing?

To pair with a perfecto leaather jacket, or would a wolverine 1000 mile type boot look better?

So I want to get some lighter coloured denim and am considering these two.

And

I want both a grey pair and light wash, but are there better suggestions out there?

TBS is my preferred vendor as I have a code + VAT reduction to benefit from.

Personally I agree with you that I don't see many under 40 people wearing tassel loafers, but there are some younger people that do wear them. I imagine those people grew up in New England. I don't see it much down here in New York though.

I'm looking for a decent tailor in the Santa Clara, CA area to do some minor adjustments to some pants, shirts, and jeans. Anybody have any recommendations?

glasses remind me of the glasses that benjamin button wore

they don't seem to offer partially transparent frames, anymore, but this is apparently the company that made the benjamin button ones:
