Just got a pair of acne max cashes from TBS, is it normal for them to smell very heavily of vinegar? They said its the smell of the dye and would fade over time. Smells pretty strong to me, can't really see the smell just going away by itself.

iirc the tretorn ones had fleece lining, which may or may not be optional.

I think they made versions with and without fleece. I had a pair, but didn't like the shape of the toebox. Picked up some Hunter boots instead.

The boots (dark brown):

EDIT: I go to uni so will be wearing these casually with dark/black jeans if that helps.

What boots are these? Look great!

Can anyone compare the fit of J.Crew and Everlane slim-fit OCBDs?

New raw denim guy here. I've gotten a great deal on some UB101 that fit great everywhere but the waist. I'm planning on getting the waist taken in and I'm wondering if this requires any special requests/questions for the tailor?

The jeans are a size 36, and my waist measures about 35.25. It's a bit larger than would be comfortable with a belt. Should I ask them to be taken in to 34.5 or 35 inches to account for stretch? Or just let them measure the pants on me and deal with the resulting stretch with a belt? Finally should this be done before first wear or after a break in?

You should return them and buy your correct size. Even if you nabbed them for a good price having a tailor take in the waist will probally outweigh the savings.

Fair point. However I've looked into that and the alteration costs less than $20 around here. Keeping my total cost under half of buying retail.

Does anybody else make a selvage khaki denim duck like N&F?

Or is N&F's version just unbeatable for its price?

Yes. All of my Acnes smell like this to start. Gradually goes away after a few wears.

Favorite pair of black jeans that DON'T fade? Looking for that super-deep black.

Pretty sure Blue In Green and Self Edge both carry some brands (besides Triple Works) that offer non-fade denim.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but Outclass makes some selvedge olive/khaki jeans:

BiG carries the PBJ No-Change series but I've seen those in person and they look washed out.

Anyone with Acne Cash series that can give me the down low on them? Thanks

I bought these and they do suffer from being neither fish nor fowl I realize. I do like them but am finding them less versatile than I hoped.

Thoughts? Despite being suede are these too formal for chinos? Color is also not proving to be as versatile as I thought either
