Is mrmuddandmrgold.com defunct?

I'm searching for boots (leather) that are nice for tighter jeans/chinos/etc. (black, grey, darker denim probably)

I've bought one pair recently in brown

http://www.scarosso.com/herren/schuhe/stiefel/genio-chelseaboot.html

The shoe is great, but fits more elegant clothing! I would like to have something for the "street" :D

Probably some washed out leather (black, dark grey or something like that and a timeless piece!

It doesn't need to be a chelsea boot necesarrily...

Price range 300-400 bucks max -> better would be < 250!

Thank you very much!!!

I need a pair of navy suede derby shoes. Kind of like Mark Mcnairy, but not Mark Mcnairys. Any ideas?

Thoughts on ll bean whipstitch camp moc in brown? I'm torn between the normal bean camp mocs in dark brown and the whipstitch.

can anyone recommend a good jean with slash pockets? geller maybe?

i think this question shouldn't need a new thread but if this isn't the best place to ask, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

how do save khaki's pants fit? i have the daily twill chinos on gilt quite a few times and they do look nice for the price, but looking at other images online, they seem to fit pretty baggy and i like a pretty slim cut. how do the compare to the j.crew urban slim or 484 fit? or the gant rugger chinos?

Hey everyone,

My only shoes worth mentioning are clark's desert boots. I'm a 20 year old student, like to dress in well fitting basics like v neck sweaters, shirts, chinos, etc.

Since it's getting hot out, I want a second 'staple shoe' I can rely on (ie much use). Budget: 150 euros max.

On some other thread I read about camp mocassins being a good option. Can you go sockless in them?

Thanks in advance!

You can go sockless with camp mocs, but if I were you I would get some sort of wingtips. It looks like you have casual covered with the Clarks. I think the camp mocs would just be an alternative for the Desert boots, but it doesn't really diversify your footwear.

I don't feel like I need wingtips just yet. Too formal for daily use.

When it's very hot out, I don't want to wear any socks. Clarks are just too warm right now.

What would be a good casual summer staple? (that's diverse from clarks)
