Looking for recommendations for high quality mid-weight three-season socks to be worn with engineer boots (boots go up to the bottom of the calf).  Comfort and long-term durability are priorities.  Also wouldn't mind recommendations for winter-weight boot socks, with the same stipulations.

Around 3" to 4" for a slim fit.

 I tend to use the 1.05/1.08/1.12 multiplier put forth in the ToJ thread even though I don't wear leather (vegan go's mind would explode).  You multiply your chest, shoulder, waist, ..etc measurements for a tight/snug/slim fit.

Looking for some cheap OCBDS; how do Asos oxfords fit? I'm usually a perfect small, but in Uniqlo's flannels for example XS fit much better. Shipping from London takes forever, so I'd like to get it right the first time.

They're unisex so the size run stops at 8.5 Mens.  I think they're targeted to women.

Oh and looking for a khaki/tan blazer for spring that isn't J. Crew nonsense for around 100.  Any ideas?  I'd even take something more expensive that I can pray will go on sale.

Is there any particular thread one can ask for a TBS code? A protocol or something? (Provided one is up.) Fairly new here so I don't know how it works. Don't want to pollute others' threads, but PMing someone out of the blue doesn't seem the correct way to go either.

I posted this on the other quick question thread and it went unaddressed for a few days thought I would try here.

 

Two part question. I was looking at purchasing some Grenson 0006-01, and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this brand/shoe and their thoughts or if they had possible recommendations of similar shoes. 

Secondly, sizing. Since I would be ordering from overseas and do not readily have a place to try this brand on does anyone know how the sizing compares to Allen Edmonds (5-65 Last 11) or Alden (trubalance last 10.5). 

Added third part in the wait.. I have also been eying the Alden Cordovan cap toe boot for J Crew. Any comparison for the two or simply preference?

Looking for a heavy winter derby with non-smooth soles - along the lines of a viberg oxford (ideal, but $650) or the white's hathorne rainier (okay, $310).

Feels like I'm forgetting some makers - I checked loake, grenson, doc martens etc. can anyone steer me?

Red Wing Beckman. Yuketen had a ripple sole plain toe but I don't know if it's available anywhere anymore.

heard there was poor heel construction on the beckman oxfords, and the leather is reallly weird on those yuketens (otherwise they're perfect). I'll prolly just get the white's and get a ripple when it's time for a resole. Thanks for the help tho hoody'
