there are far better fitting options than 501s though, you could look at some apc new standards if you want something that's not that slim

if you are talking about sneakers though, don't bother fixing it if it isn't huge, suede-sneaks are supposed to be a bit beat up

I recently bought a loose knit linen sweater with a low open roll neck. Any suggestions on what to wear underneath it? All of my t-shirts peek out through the neck, and it seems like there's way too much open space for a regular shirt (OCBD or what have you). I like the look without a shirt at all but I'd have to wash it every time I wore it.

Yeah, that would be my definition of 'too short.'  You want your t-shirts about halfway down your fly.  A little shorter is ok but if your belt is showing its too short.

I'm having a lot of trouble finding casual buttoned sport shirts to wear untucked with jeans or chinos. I'm trying to update my casual wardrobe from wearing tshirts all the time. I need shirts that meet the following criteria:

 

-don't need ironing (non-iron cotton or just regular cotton in a weave that doesn't need ironing)

-cut short so I can wear untucked

-reasonably priced, not more than around $50 each

 

I want to wear them untucked because I have a bit of a gut and tucking in a shirt without a jacket accentuates the gut. I'm a bit short, 5'8", so a lot of shirts hang down too far when they're untucked and they look like a dress. And I don't want to have to iron, I want something I can wear every day without a hassle. An I don't want baggy shirts, but I can't wear really slim shirts because of the gut.

 

Can anyone recommend any shirts?
