I recently got a pair of chinos from Wolf vs Goat, wore them once, then hemmed them w/ no break without washing. Oops! Now I'm worried that when I go to wash them, they will shrink and

be insanely short. How can I keep this from happening? If I hand was and then hang dry, will that limit shrinking?

Hi, i have zip up boots for the first time ever. Do they need to feel very right in order to fit right? Because generally it feels good, but when I'm walking it feels like they're a bit too loose, but maybe it's just I'm not used to zip ups :/ My lace ups feel tighter.

There seems to be about a half an inch of material that I can let out, so I guess I'm just going to have a tailor let them out, and then I'll wash them and hope for the best. Damn, making stupid decisions regarding $100 pants just makes me mad.

I don't know how much they shrink but you can always stretch them after the wash while they're still wet. Even hang them to dry by the hem so that the weight keeps them elongated while they dry.

if your feet are sliding around in them then they're probably too loose, do you usually wear your shoes tied tight? Try putting on thicker socks to see if that feels better. if so, maybe a half size down would fit better.

i've never had a problem with zip boots fitting differently from laced shoes/boots but i also wear my shoes laced kinda loose compared to alot of people.

I'm buying some jeans from yoox, and I'm stuck with a store credit. I need black jeans as I don't have any now.

I had bought Diesel Poiak (http://www.yoox.com/us/42267018NV/item?dept=#sts=dreambox80&cod10=42267018NV&sizeId=) and they were very tight. My sizing is all over the place. I have a running back/athletic build. Often the waist is fine but the thighs don't work. Now I bought a 34L 34W, and the thighs were so tight it almost looked like spandex. The waist was a little snug. Is it uncommon to size up two sizes for Diesel?

I dont' want supberbaggy, but also I don't like the, well, nuthugging look, I'm somewhat trying to thread a needle here. What has worked:

Seven Standard (98% cotton, 2% spandex). In 34W Those fit perfect.

Levi Skinner/Hesher have worked too in a 36W, but had to get the waist taken in at some point as it widened.

I typically wear 34W and Medium garmets. Sometimes I'll go up to 36W, like the ultra-slim Calvin Klein dress pants, those I get in 36.

Bottom line:

Given how tight the 34Ws were, should I just go for the 38, and take in the waist, or is sizing one up to 36W good enough?

My alternative is to just buy a Nudie size 34. It's plainer, and looks like it has a slight shine, but I'm running out of options: http://www.yoox.com/us/42266927NM/item?dept=#sts=dreambox80&cod10=42266927NM&sizeId=

I'm looking for some side zip boots in grey or taupe. Ankle height or a little higher is where I'm aiming for. These Diors below are the ideal. I've looked at the MMM's but wanted to find some other options.

Anyone have any experience with Bonobos? How are the pants? DO they look good? Are they well made? The reason I ask is I got a $25 voucher to use.

They're not bad. Very average. Crazy at retail, but when had on sale pretty solid. Equal to or just below lands end canvas in my opinion.

Can someone suggest me affordable shirts that will goes well with Ann D.? I don't need baggy poetic-like shirts, just simple white or black slightly loose shirts.

If I'm size 7.5D on Alden Plaza last, would I be 39 or 40 in Common Projects?

Thanks,

I recently bought a Ben Silver cardigan and it fits pretty big on me. I've been told you can get sweaters adjusted by "blocking," is this true?
