Hi Artisan Fan, Since it’s been brought up, I may as well announce it. Yes, we will be on the Huddler Platform. We felt that it was time for Styleforum to grow to fulfill its potential. Converting to the Huddler platform will add a lot of additional features, along with special features specifically requested by me and j. Among the new features will be a blogging platform. A lot of blogs are “voices in the wilderness” relying on word-of-mouth to gain readers. On the Styleforum platform, if you want to blog about men’s clothing or other things that might interest Styleforum readers, you will have a built in potential readership of over 700K unique visitors/month. Another feature will be a new, buying and selling forum that will get rid of cumbersome rules. It will be completely free unless you wish to “buy” services. This, we feel, will be a vast improvement over the current system. There will be product pages, which will allow new users and veterans alike to be able to easily access information on individual products and brands. There will be a working wiki, as well as a “Styleforum answers” section, which will feature voted upon “best answer”. This will be a great improvement over the “easy questions” threads, which are long and cumbersome. This will increase enjoyment of the forum for both veterans and new users. Tapatalk will at last be implemented, which will allow forum users to browse the forum comfortably from any number of platforms. We are also working on lots of additional features, like monthly newsletters with “best of” threads, and editorial content, as well as the always important sales alerts. One longer term initiative, which we are very excited about, is an incentives system which will benefit the forum and its individual users alike. These are just a few things that we are working on. There will be an extended “sandbox” period which will allow core users to give us feedback and for us to adjust the system to work well. The Huddler is a much more mature business than it was a couple of years ago, and they’ve learned from their mistakes. Over the past half year or so, we’ve discussed those mistakes in detail, and how we will avoid them. Also, the Huddler business development head told me that we required more redlines in our contract than anyone ever has. These changes were made so that Jeremy and I maintain control of the forum, both financially and creatively, and as you know, we are not going to allow the forum to stray from our vision of a fun, divey bar.
