I don't even bother in my listings because most guys know they fit a regular length or not. I can count on 1 hand the # of times that length was an issue. The people that get screwed are foo.gif types that would end up with a 5" tail on the short end and need custom/shortening.

See, that's just the issue. 58" is at the bottom end of tie lengths I need. So when I get those that are 56 it's like ffffuuuu.gif 60" is ideal. I just gave away a bunch of ties that I never wore because at 56-57" they were useless to me. Just got another one yesterday ffffuuuu.gif

3.5x57 is anyone is interested

You're in no-mans land at 60", unfortunately. And most of the ties I see that are consistently a touch longer are like the 'J Garcia' looking JZ Richards and some of the less appealing R Talbott stuff.

That's what you get for being 6' 2".

You can also do a less substantial knot with 56" ties, that will save you 2". BTW, at 58" how much of the short end remains?

Yeah, maybe NORE should stop tying The Merrill Hoge knots and then he won't look like he's wearing a narrow bib.

I'm 6'4" with a 16.5" neck and only wear FIH knots. With a 56" tie there is not enuff small blade to go into the keeper. The last few fit pics I've posted featured Zegna ties that are 60".

At 5' 10" even I have that problem when I tie a full windsor with some of my ties. Just use a paper clip.

I can't remember the last time I used the keeper. Then again you can always get the keeper moved higher, or even better stop tying full windsor knots.

I never use the keeper which further exacerbates the problem of the short small blade.

Nah, actually the quest is over. Recently acquired 2 Zegnas, 1 Drakes, 1 Marinella, 2 PRL ties which more than filled the deficiency in my tie rotation. I'm keeping an eye out for must-haves but I'm good for now.
