Plus he wasn't ready for anyone there to have any economic knowledge. So when someone caught him off guard with an Adam Smith quote he seemed like a moron.

How come this guy was banned? Only five posts and they all seemed legit.

Can we delete the Teger threads in Dumb Threads? No one is above being called out on stupid shit but this has all gone too far.

What is with the gay bashing lately (particularly in DT but evident in the General Chat sub-forum too)? When did it become acceptable for members to tease/belittle a person's sexual orientation so blatantly?

Where? Please flag any offensive posts and one of us will review them.

I'll bring this up again: Considering that there is an unspoken limit on how malicious a personal attack can be in Dumb Threads, I propose that the thread about Teger be squirrelled because it is nothing but a venue for attacks against a specific member. Maybe the intention by mordecai, who started the thread, is not mean-spirited but it certainly has turned that way and will always be a platform for such while it exists.

I don't know that thread, or Teger that much for that matter, but if the thread is funny enough I might be inclined to become malicious against him.

I'm going to vehemently disagree with this. If the precedent is deleting a thread because it has the potential to become mean are we going to ban douche of the year contest? I can understand getting rid of a thread when it crosses the line of nastiness, I don't think that one has. The point of that thread was to show some of the knucklehead things Teger says time from time. It was poking fun at his immaturity. If a poster crosses that line just delete that offending post and punish the poster if it is called for. If anyone crossed the line in that thread it was Teger.

Teger and I are homies. I haven't looked at the thread much since I made it, and he hasn't mentioned it to me. I'm fine with it being taken down if it bothers him.
