Just got a pretty nasty re-direct. Would not let me capture the URL, go to another tab, or close Chrome so I ended up killing Chrome with Task Manager. I was redirected to something like www-dot-softwareupdaterlp-dot-com (that last part is so no link is created, it was .com at the end). Wanted to force me to click a button that would install something.

Just got it again, no other tab open.

Hey man,

I'll report this.  So, there are 2 separate issues.

One was that a rather large and effective hacker group got into a lot of networks, including google adsense, a couple of months ago.  They were very sophisticated in the scheduling of use of different networks, keeping others in the pocket, so to speak, and they did a ton of damage, not just on Styleforum.  Google is purportedly ontop of this, and the consumerreport redirect (which was all clickbait, and was actually completely unaffiliated with consumer reports, as spelled out at the bottom of that page) and similar things, should be gone.

The other issue, and I hate to bring this up, may be malware, usually coming in on sites that have very little or no filters (cough, porn, some less reputable politcal blogs, etc...)  Malware in 2015 is highly sophisticated, and from what I heard from tech ops last week, it can figure out your browsing patterns, and target some sites, so that it looks like those sites are infected or serve up bad ads, or whatever, thus hiding their own nature.  I would recommend a full scan, and to look at your task manager, and see if there are unusual things going on there.

Unfortunately, at cursory glance, it's not possible to distinguish between the two issues.  However, I will report this, and see if that domain has been the destination of any spoofed scripts on any networks.

Cheers,

Fok.

I'd be down.  Any suggestions?  (note that the image has to fit into that space, or cropped to those dimensions.)

I just wanted to let you guys know that I don't think there is a way of getting to the Articles page on the mobile version of the forum. I use the mobile version almost exclusively. I didn't know the Articles section even existed if I did not see it on the Ivory Tower Style RSS.

Fabric swatches could be nice. So would Vox's shoe picture (the one where you have all his shoes lined up, nice depth of field, conducive to cropping if I recall). Permission to start a thread on the topic? @LA Guy

I know.  It's the bane of my existence.

Which topic? If it will help people do photos better, then yes, by all means.  And I will read said article carefully, myself.
