Until GF mentioned it, I just figured you had a really strange definition of "deluge!"

Yeah, that makes sense. Mentioning it here is a perfectly reasonable alternative to reporting the post, especially when it's that prolific.

I'm surprised he hasn't complained to the rabbi and gotten those rules changed.

just to clarify, passover is an 8 day holiday. the first 2 days and last 2 days have shabbos like prohibitions, the middle 4 do not. my absence was nothing more than just a little break for breaks sake.

i have got this a few times today:

I've been seeing a bug when quoting posts in which:

1) Poster A quotes Poster B
2) Poster A types his response above the quote from Poster B

Poster A's response is not included in the Reply box when I quote it to reply.

Here's an example of such a post: http://www.styleforum.net/t/234255/hof-what-are-you-wearing-right-now-part-iii/76550_50#post_7097610

I'm using Mac OS 10.9.2 and Chrome Version 34.0.1847.116, but this was occurring with earlier versions of both.

Isn't that an option in preferences somewhere?
I can't imagine what that option would be. "Only quote certain parts of the post I'm quoting"?
This is just a test.

I think E;TF meant the nested quotes. Not sure what the problem is, I figured it might have been the @Username, but it probably isn't.

Hypothetically, if someone, say an affiliated vendor, kept quoting picture posts without spoilers, just to add a "Beautiful!" or a "Nice colours!" (what the 'thumb' button is for, really), without adding any content and presumably just to plaster every page of a thread with links to what they are selling, at what point does it become spam? And when flagging it, should you choose 'Spam' or 'Offensive'? Thanks.

If they say "Nice colours!" you should flag it as offensive. In the comment box, enter "Unamerican".

Kaplan is making a very valid point...

I completely do make such comments sometimes and often ask myself if they're seen as being annoying or useless...

A thumb up is a sign of agreement but sometimes it is important to point out the reason behind it...

The spam issue is a bit of a different issue therefore sorry to deviate from the main issue.
