Yep, couldn't live without an adblock either. Anyway, I whitelist websites that offer good value to me. The last you can do. (still, I sometimes manually block some very annoying ads.. wink.gif... for example animated ads, like the Curves ad that Claghorn already pointed out)

I wish we could get feedback as to which ads people block, and feed it upstream. Maybe someday.

Mother of a fuck black magic. Fuck. He's actually posting faster than I can hold them. I think I need to wait for him to post ten or so and then wander off to some other forum (instead of holding them as he posts).

He's actually bothered to upload an avatar picture of himself.

That guy is stubborn.

Damn, he's not posted yet (this go-around) in GC, Business, or E&C. I was actually going to log off and enjoy my Friday night, but now I feel like I need to stick around a while longer to catch anything. ffffuuuu.gif

Ya, Kaplan was talking about how on internet explorer when he clicks the arrow next to a thread, it takes him to the top of the most recent page instead of the most recent post. That's something for the Huddler programers, I'd imagine.

^ The issue is much less specific than that. As it is now, there's now way of going to the most reason post in a thread (be it from the Subscribtions page, the links in the subscribtion e-mail or from the forum proper), they all take you to the top of the page, not the specific last read post.

Since it started at the same time for NOBD and I a couple of weeks ago it seems likely to be due to a change on Huddler's end.

It is really cribbling for the forum experience, trawling through the same posts again and again, trying to locate the new content.

Why not, actually? The Dutch styleforum, admittedly much, much smaller than this one, is completely add-less. Perhaps a naive question, but I'd like to know how this works.

They probably pay for everything themselves.

They do, or actually he does. I am sure the costs of this forum are much higher, but aren't there other ways to get enough maintenace money to keep the forum running without all the ugly and distracting adds?

Donations/Merchandise.. what else could there be?

I would be interested in SF merchandise, provided it is sufficiently...stylish.

The Javascript image viewer is annoying as fuck, is there any way to disable it? I would just like to click an image and have it open a new link directly to it, rather than some god-awful slideshow.
