Their Kimono My House is one of the seminal albums although the previous A Woofer In Tweeter's Clothing is worth it for "Whippings & Apologies alone. Their first album known as "HalfNelson" is also worthwhile. When "Wondergirl" comes on as the first song, you know it's a good thing. They also collaborated with Giorgio Moroder for some of their "disco" albums with titles like "Beat the clock". I find Sparks to be similar to The Fall or Pere Ubu--critically accalimed bands with expansive discographies that keep releasing albums despite the fact that commercial success eludes them. And they always sound the same.
