that feels better, thanks.
I 'm not so sure thats unavoidable after all the only real differences between, lets say,a sports coat and a suit jacket are minute details in the scheme of things . Weak analogy I know but sw&d is like a mural on the side of a building whereas mc is a potrait on a 2'x2 ' canvas

MC is like asking 10 different still-life artists to paint the same scene on a 2x2 canvas.

A 2x2 canvas is too small to accurately represent how portly a good number of those chaps are. foo.gif

We could offer to arrange a few of these 2x2 on foo.gif's new apartment walls.

I'd dig those boots in that fit if you wore them with a plain white tee (a size smaller than the one you're wearing now)

This is a good point, though. I feel like a lot of MCers probably get a lot of compliments like, hey, "those shoes are incredible" or "nice texture on that tie", and it's true--I really am jealous of a lot of the items (particularly shoes and ties, since the MC accepted fit of things are not to my taste or body type) that they own over on that side. I bet a lot of SW&Ders get a lot more comments on outfits as a whole. It reflects a difference in attitude toward clothing. Looking at the Alden thread, for example, the people there are more like hobbyists or collectors, whereas here it's more incorporated into our lifestyles.

I think most mcers are office types who wear that stuff to work.
