Maybe I've been on the CM Thread for too long, but holy shit mostly everything is super trendy on this thread.

Although I did see a pic of bradt in winter, I have to admit he looked like a cool anime character.

what do you even mean by that? do you see most of the clothing you see in this thread on people in the street or at h&m and other fast fashion places? somehow....somehow I think your view is skewed

I don't, that's why its so shocking. Plus I spend more time on the CM thread.

And also can you please elaborate? I think I have an idea of what you mean by skewed view but not completly. smile.gif

p.s I said mostly not all of the thread. Some stuff I actually like here.

Well, fits definitely get less impressive as a whole when the weather heats up. The usual suspects have been putting up good fits. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by trendy. The pinnacle of trendy that I see daily "in the real world" is a J. Crew catalog. Maybe you live in a city where people regularly walk around in Ann D, Rick and Margiela, but that seems unlikely.

Something that's in fashion as of NOW and will die in a couple of months years etc, I'm pretty sure you know this already. wink.gif

You've been spending too much time in "timeless classic" land. A lot of the looks you think are trendy are probably pretty standard silhouettes and looks for their particular designers. You most likely won't see them trickle down to mainstream fashion.

If you're after the GQ / J. Crew style, then you should probably look at the MC casual thread for poorly done/awkward renditions of that look.

If you're after "timeless classics", then you should probably be looking at the MC WAYWT for linen and seersucker suits or something. That or looking up more old Steve McQueen vacation photos.

So. Clothes that you haven't seen before = trendy. That makes sense. Go away.

Ah yes, unlike a well-tailored suit. Meaning broad, reinforced shoulders and wider trousers a decade ago, or slim, flat front, with 3" lapels now. Or double-breasted and single pleats, in the 80's. But wait, they're timeless!

All clothing, even Spoo's suits, will be dated in 20 years.
