Is there way that I could make dark jeans (either the black 511s or my raw 501s) work with the blazer, or should I just get a pair of traditional grey trousers?

Jeans can work well with navy blazers, not those 511s though (dunno about raw 501s)

and the cardigan is nice lmao, keep

They have a beige one, too. Thanks everyone! Most likely going to keep. Folk is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. Not baller enough for you, jet?

thoughts on the ZakQ fit:

with the right pants this would be an ok GQ-looking fit. the 501s might work better than the 511s for this type of thing but still wouldn't be great as a job interview choice--gray wool trousers are the way to go. I actually like it all disheveled as a non-interview look though, so good job there.

I agree with everything Kid Nickels and Kindofyoung said. to expand on one point that was touched on but not said explicitly, the 511s are too skinny for the blazer--that's how they don't fit into the outfit.

That's awesome. The tough part is grading (adjusting the measurements for different sizes). There are places that do it using specialized software, because it's not as simple as adding the same amount everywhere. But I imagine a good tailor could wing it and do a reasonably good job.

Yeah that's a concern if mine. I'm not sure what the biggest size I'll have to make would be. I'll definitely have to ask if he is comfortable making different sizes with the proper grading.

I figure I should actually start posting fits for feedback and shit.  I need an actual full length mirror though, instead of heading to the nordstrom rack 1 block away.  peepwall[1].gif

Teapot, is that the Nordstrom Rack near Michigan Avenue?

No it's the one near the Pentagon.
