I dunno, here in Rockaway it's like 85 and hot as hell. Perks of living by the beach I guess.

Top half and bottom half look like they belong to different outfits. Proportions are off too, trousers are fucking up

B if you must but it's really all over the place. I feel like you have a specific look in mind but are trying to achieve it by piecing together items that are too disparate to complete each other, instead they all compete for attention and pull the outfit in opposite directions. Mix and match can be great but you need some semblance of common ground and those items don't feel like they even belong to the same dimension.

Decent light and a plain or contextual background does help smile.gif

If I had to change one thing, it would be the jacket. I am wearing it again today FWIW. It is just a cheap beater. For what it is, it works. Not great, but it works for me. Ideally I would prefer a linen or linen blend with a bit more volume and perhaps with patch pockets all around. I bought the jacket with the intention to wear to work with your standard tucked in shirt, and trousers. I have a blue one of the same jacket that works well in that context, and ordered this extra gray one to test it out.

I really like the trousers and have no comment. They are roomy in the seat and taper to a 18cm. They were exactly what I expected and wanted.

I can't help but think a pair of more shapely trousers like denim would be better suited if I was to kept the top half the same. Similar to my usually stuff. Ordered 3 pairs of Levi's 511 so will try them out. Recently jeans have not been working well for me whether it is the thigh or rise.

In hindsight, I do agree that the top and bottom do not look concurrent, but I like them separately despite the proportion issue. The pants are really loose and drape with a more voluminous thigh.

At least I know now not to pair the two together.

edit: the biggest thing that bugs me is how the photo came out. still working that out with my bro.
