hendrix i like the high-waisted look

kg those boots so kewl

huhwot i like this one much better, i think the white contrast helps offset the super clunkiness of the creepers whereas last time it was unavoidable due to slim trousers and massive soles

happy bday to my tween

i hope is ok i cross post here, i kept seeing rocks by the water and thought of something else

details (Click to show)

Y's size 3 rayon jacket in dark blue, unlined and constructed in a manner such that only the shoulders, cuffs, pocket flaps, and buttons have any real weight, the rest is incredibly light as well as translucent, it moves as, say, curtains do, suspended along rods simply drawn over the body. nice detailed stitching throughout.

Y's wool trousers, dark grey one size draw-string with massive waist, they are very wide, and even tying as tight as they'll go would still leave them too roomy, so i've left the knot quite loose and they are suspended about my torso. took a while to get used to walking while no longer in sync with pants that simply float about my waist :-)

Y's suspenders, vans sneakers, and cotton Uniqlo floral pattern shirt

why'd you make a new account, shah?

A quick one to commemorate the passing of my iphone (I'll be upgrading soon -- teger rejoice!) and an assurance I'll answer my backlog of PMs shortly. I fell behind. I'm so sorry.

Trying to make these reverse fades work with anything other than a gray t-shirt.

shah, that's awesome. interesting to see yohji proportions with- gasp- no black in sight

monkeyface, don't wear that shirt with those trousers. the shirt's bold pattern + the trousers' bold texture = too much boldness for me to handle. I like the trousers better, so keep those and wear a white OCBD (or white linen shirt) instead. I dig the shoes.

edit: now that i think of it, i just hate that shirt. hide it in the attic or something so the squirrels and the raccoons have a place to wipe their paws

Haha, thanks for the advice. I understand the Gitman Vintage shirt is a little divisive. I absolutely love the fabric though, it's very soft and light, so I'll keep wearing it, albeit perhaps not with these jeans. I generally don't wear white shirts for casual wear, they're a little formal for my taste. Would a non-patterned/textured light-blue OCBD work with these jeans?

laugh.gif Thanks. Yeah, it's the uu sweat-material jacket.

@ monkeyface -- that would look great with some chalky white bucks.

Cheers, I've been looking for some relatively cheap white bucks, so I won't care as much when they inevitably get dirty. Any recommendations?

I dig the shirt a little more now that you posted the closeup. I'd wear it with navy chinos, khaki, etc. since its chambray, i'd be a lil careful wearing it with denim, though it's totally possible

A blue OCBD miight work well with those trousers, but I still say white would be best. oxford cloth or linen crinkles enough that it won't look formal at all
