I stand by my belief that this place is better for toasty's continued decision to log onto Styleforum every day.

I used to think differently. Now, I choose to be amused.

The photo was taken from a bit of a high angle, so my legs look shorter than they really are ... that said, it's still a look with a very long top and a skirt element, so it's to be expected. This might work better with slimmer pants, or I just need to hem these ones. But I'm still pretty happy with it.

It'd be better without the kilt

agree with the hemming, otherwise perfect

As cool as it is Brad, I think I agree with Nahneun on this one. Skirt thing just kind of looks like an afterthought, like "I need some visual interest so I'll do this"

You gotta size up on that t-shirt.  You shouldn't be able to see your belt if you're just standing there.  Also please burn those sneakers.  There are so many awesome Nike's to rock, even infrared AM90's would look better with that fit.

think it's more the former than the latter (or maybe either or) but yeah love the outfit otherwise.

nah the kilty thing is perfect there, doesn't look forced at all. Really excellent fit IMO

I'd be surprised if anybody got this

Yup, it's a table napkin part of the dries ss13 season. It's weird because it matches the cotton of my dries ss12 shirt. I think he thought that he needed to add some visual interest to his white button ups so he designed this wonderful table napkin. I had to kop. Will go great with jil lunchbag. Lncc might still have a few!

Yeah, I proxied the sneakers of gilt a few years back! Sup shibbel!

nice fit, brad. excellent fit pose contemplation going on there too.

So the pants ... they are actually fairly slim, but they flare out at the bottom and are very very long. In an ideal world, they always look like this:

(Realized I am wearing the same shirt and shoes as this model as well ... ha)

The idea was the repeat the flare silhouette all the way down for a tiered effect – the jacket, the skirt, the pants hem. But due to the thinness of the fabric, they often just collapse in on themselves. I should probably get them hemmed considerably. The angle just exacerbates everything. Of course, generally if you have to make excuses for the element of a fit it means that it's a missed shot, and I'm willing to accept that here!

I actually thought it was a plaid shirt wrapped around his waist. I thought he was going for a grunge look.
