On an unrelated note, you know how people often preface saying something offensive with "no offense, but..."? The problem with that is that people always know you're going to follow it up with something offensive. You're telegraphing your next move.
I'm a much bigger fan of "I'm just sayin'", used as a follow-up. That way, you get to blindside someone with your offensive comment of choice, and then half-assedly minimize it with "y''know, I'm just sayin'". Maybe follow it up with a little shrug with your palms pointed up, almost like you can't help it; what you're saying is totally obvious, everybody knows it, and you're just putting it into words.
There is actually great debate on the true, correct meaning of racism, so ultimately we are all interpreting it the way we see fit, within certain boundaries of acceptance. Once you can actually define race, you can make those boundaries much smaller.
