Sorry, Casey, but I don't like this one. Needs more color differentiation between shorts and shirt. The whole socks/shoes thing with short doesn't work for me at all. Needs sneakers and no show socks.

I was going to try the boots with shorts at some point, so I decided I might as well get that fitpic out of the way early in the spring.

jwoowoo, I don't like the creepers with that fit. Rest is very nice though.

I feel like the top half and bottom half or jwoowoo's fit belong to different epochs

Great fit but shirt looks a little too slim to my eyes, esp with that hat

I like the thought that went behind this outfit as it is familiar to my own. The execution is off though as everything is one size too small. The only thing that seems natural is perhaps the hat and pants break.

Now when you mention "epochs" I think you are actually brand discriminating as I am sure you recognize immediately what label each item is from. Perhaps your latter thought is that Ervell does not fit with the straw hat and creepers (I don't know, just an example). However, I think we both know Ervell has used creeper type shoes in his runways e.g. Redwings postman shoes.

When I look at the outfit IMO I think 'wooo was trying to balance the top heavy with the bottom heavy, big straw hat with big platform shoes. This leaves the medium in between very empty though.

Uh it has nothing to do with brands at all

I saw that fit and I had no idea what any of it was, but thought the exact same thing as lmao. Colors/pattern/texture of the top screams warm weather, bottom does not regardless of the fact that the pants are cropped. Both cool but in the same fit don't look right.

+ everything is so tight whyyyyyy

I actually think the shoes could be okay with the fit--as you say, Ervell uses creeper type shoes and I think it fits in nicely (I actually own Redwing postman shoes to wear with very similar fits). I just feel like creepers and skinny cropped pants say futurofashion to me (with the knowledge that jwoowoo also owns the spacerocket Rafs) whereas a straw hat and patterned short sleeve button up feel more early 20th century. I like the idea of mixing things up, but the sharpness of the pants are what throws it off for me. I had no idea what the label of anything was except for the shirt when I first saw the fit.

Then again, if everything was one size larger, I probably would think this was a freakin awesome fit.

thewho13 needs to change that top to a lighter weight L/S

Those Hope dropped crotch shorts was something I was eyeing as well so +1 for picking them up. Looks proper on you i.e. the proportions.
I think L/S with shorts is fine, but the current L/S that is worn is a knit and not really natural with the bottom and no-show socks with sneakers. Should check out VoidtheBrand or something as they make light natural cotton tees in S/S and L/S. Would look and feel a whole lot cooler during S/S season than that maroon top.

I wear heavy wool sweaters with shorts.

+1 to that
