did not mean go ignore you, mikey. i missed this when i was on my phone.

i do hear you, and this is not really what i bought the stark for, but it was cold this morning, (as you know smile.gif ) and i couldnt help but put it on. the pants are a thick flannel, the shirt is oxford, and the shoes are suede, so i think it works well enough, as all the items are texture-y and kind of country. and i personally think it looks good. MC casual thread seemed to agree if that counts for anything. but i do see where you are coming from.

funny thing is, i have posted this sweater twice, and neither are what i really intended to use it for. im working on the right chinos to arrive, as i hate all the ones i have, and to wear the trickers i got with said pants. that is the look i got it for, because that is look i usually shoot for if im a casual mood. i guess in the mean time im kinda trying it with different stuff to test its versatility. its really a great sweater to have imo.

thanks for the feedback. cheers.gif

Prurient I usually love your weird color combos but I don't think that shirt and sweater go together.

Stitchy, you need bluchers. No moar (to use your parlance) balmorals without suits.

So apparently I was requisitioned into a fit battle by our resident robotic recruiter. Weird. In retrospect I really didn't like that fit.

im still unsure as to what exactly qualifies as bluchers, but i think the trickers i just got qualify. however, imo, they would look dumb with todays fit, too blobby. perfect for chinos though. right?!

excellent use of parlance.

also, balmorals may be used with SC/trou fits as well, most certainly. or alternatively, todays fit. peepwall[1].gif

Oxfords (balmorals to foreigners) v derbies (bluchers):

I've got Edward Green derbies that I'll happily wear with a suit and some oxfords I'll wear with chinos, but generally oxfords look more formal. I think Trickers would work okay with those trousers.
