The only things that really matters (for stacks that is) is the empty space between your jeans and your boots/legs, this area determines how much mad stackz you will get given a reasonable inseam length for your height (+3"-∞" from no-break). It is not correct to compare stacks from one person to another given only hem width. From now on one should post not only their hem width but also their leg circumference (and therefore leg width C=π d) when questioned on hem width in relation to stacks. From personal experience I'ved determined the optimal stack ratio (hem diameter/ leg diameter) ranges from 1.883 - 2.114, with what I like to call the "TOG point of prime stackage" at a stack ratio of 2. Chart:

which suggests that you can achieve the same stacks at 10" width as someone with 7" width if you have the worst cankles in the world, or are wearing UGGs

someone tell me if this works for you too

you just had to be that one guy didn't you.. although actually interesting point. It's such a small different but 6.5-7 and I get messy stacks and 6 and it's great.

I must have fat ankles, my jeans are 7.5" and I wouldn't want to go any narrower.

But don't fret. Buy a bunch of equally long shirts (or longer), preferably in bold colors like plaids and ginghams.
Then buy a bunch of chinos, taking special care to cuff the hems, and wear them with expensive sneakers. Try Lanvin for starters.
Last but most important step: throw away your jacket. Absolutely no outerwear allowed.

Post a slight variation of this look every day. Every day. You need dedication for this. But it will pay off. Instant path to WAYWT success.

Does not work. Trust me, I tried that and it didn't work.
