Bathroom mirror selfie. Shirt too long?

Yes, it's a bit too long.

But don't fret. Buy a bunch of equally long shirts (or longer), preferably in bold colors like plaids and ginghams.
Then buy a bunch of chinos, taking special care to cuff the hems, and wear them with expensive sneakers. Try Lanvin for starters.
Last but most important step: throw away your jacket. Absolutely no outerwear allowed.

Post a slight variation of this look every day. Every day. You need dedication for this. But it will pay off. Instant path to WAYWT success.

I frequently find jeans cut chinos work better with my shape.

I'm over-large in the waist and hips, and generally find I need a slim fit to look okay in the leg.

A bit late but Mr Porter had a load of inco's in the 80% sale in larger sizes - probably worth keeping an eye on their summer clearance.

Albams legwear is good quality and they're helpful with sizing if you PM them for specific measurements.

Uniqlo's vintage chinos are very decent.

I bought a pair of Heritage Research JFK chinos in a final clearance recently and they're nice and slim - there are still a few pairs knocking around since their demise.

The last pair I bought were APC PS in a chino fabric rather than denim. Fit is good on me, but it's almost identical to the 5 pocket slim fit chinos I picked up from H&M for a tenth of the price, and the fabric/construction whilst slightly better isn't ten times better...

thanks, MoK, the vintage chinos are exactly what i ordered from uniqlo. and i think you are spot on, jean cut chinos is what i need. will keep an eye on porter.

ill look into in, as there have been quite a few recs for those, thanks!

Still loving the slouchiness of this april 77 cardigan. Uniqlo +j longsleeve, helmut lang jeans.

Desperately need less slim jeans, but funds low. Need recommendations on things that fit something like APC PS, but cheaper, and in black/grey. I'm a 28 waist, 34 (or longer) leg.

Also, fellow UK dwellers, what the hell is going on with the weather? I looked out the window about an hour ago, and it was pretty sunny. Half an hour after that, grey skies, massive snow shower. Ten minutes later, sunny again!

cardigan looks great

For APC-esque fit, Uniqlo skinny cut was similar, just marginally looser throughout. The newer ones are meant to be similar and just have shittier fabric composition, but I have yet to try. Shouldn't be more than £40 to try though, less if you're near enough to try in-store.

Are those HL jeans the last season's coated ones? Or original HL from when he still did menswear?

I'm not really fond of uniqlo jeans, the rivets, buttons etc just look super-cheap. I should probably just wait for a good deal on some APCs, or preferably dior 19cm.. These HL jeans are pretty recent, I think. The tag says made in USA, 807HW241, so at a guess they're Winter 2007 (Hiver-Winter?). I picked em up off ebay on a whim for £40. Not quite sure how I feel about the fit... the coated material seems to be very 'heavy', which makes them sit quite strangely. It's hard to explain. The coating is cool though, subtle enough to not jump out at first look, but definitely adding a bit of textural interest.

If you're looking for midrange jeans with an 8" leg opening or so, you should also check out Acne Mics or Rag & Bone RB15s.

We're doomed.

Acne is only worth it on deep, deep discount. Their denim is barely nicer than Uniqlo, at least in the Hexs and Maxs I've tried on
