I'm sorry you had to post these yourself to illustrate the point....you were the first member who came to mind when I read the original statement. BraidKid, MOK, and others also disprove the supposition nicely.

Thanks for admitting that your reaction is irrational Brad. Lots of things can cause anger, rational and irrational. Most experts agree however that YELLING at others when we find we are IRRITATED is not HEALTHY. Just sayin

Let's be honest, there's a lot of purchases made around here based on little more than the tag.

So you are saying that I was right about people buying clothes for the fit, size, feel, look, etc. and not caring what the name is?

Sorry, I'm still probably too new to understand what you are saying.

Two quick questions too. First, do any of you have photos of how to pull of a suit and sneakers the right way? Someone posted earlier that it can be done.

Also, here are a few photos of looks that I like. Anything wrong with these looks?:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Second one is pretty sweet (minus the glasses and belt). First is totally incoherent and terrible.

First one is horribad uhoh.gif

The shoulders are too wide, the color is ugly, tacky necklace, you never tuck your tee to show the belt, the fit on the pants is amazingly bad, and the shoes...well they are converse, not much to say

Literally nothing in the fit works

brad, you've done something similar to the second one right?

Max you seem really caught up in rules, conventions and whether people think you are dressing correctly. Just wear what you like and post it here for feedback. Calibrate your own style rather than trying to learn the rules. A little common sense will tell you that of course you should buy clothes based on their quality rather than their name and of course you can wear different styles on different days, etc.

no no no let's not go through the benes/elisix phases again, he already got good advice about looking through the thread which he chose to ignore
post #88408 of 117668

I did not choose to ignore the advice given, I plan on lurking. I just had a question about wearing blazers with t-shirts or graphic t-shirts. No need to jump to conclusions and say I chose to ignore what has been said.

Thanks for posting that. Sorry for iritatting you guys but I just have so many questions. When I say that I don't know the rules, I am talking about matching things like colors, patterns, etc.
