Strange how nobody discusses or buys BoO anymore on this forum. Yet when someone wears a shirt that looks odd untucked, BoO suddenly becomes the "go to" brand!

I had a friend that bought a BMW a couple years ago. And my ex-girlfriend's dad bought one probably 10 or so years ago. My aunt just got one last month, too.

Working on getting better lighting...

Q: Do the buttons on the T conflict with the sweater ones?

This is pretty fucking awkward...

I should really read the whole post before posting. I didn't realize you mentioned where you got the jacket from biggrin.gif

and yes maybe it was unfair for me to compare yang li to peir wu as minimalists. just too tempting not to compare two new and young asian designers (both based in london? not 100% sure) who worked under raf.

Probably can't tell from the picture but the jeans from my fit are Siki Im layer dye denim from Suspension Point. I highly recommend the store to everyone fing02[1].gif

Back around 2009 or so Band of Outsiders was one of the hot brands on here-- e.g. many members posting Boo shirts to Recent Purchases, excitement about GILT sales offering Boo, noobs inquiring about the brand. Today the interest has dropped dramatically. Have you not noticed this? I just did some quick research and found this....

Activity in the official "Band of Outsiders" thread:
2009 = 26 pages
2012 = 4 pages

Number of posts mentioning a brand in the last 6 months:
Band of Outsiders + Boo = 242
Geller + RG = 1113

Geller is not even a popular brand on here, yet even it receive far more activity on this forum than Boo. Boo is dying (or is it dead)? There's no market anymore for overpriced shirts with buttons that fall off simply because they're slim fitting and look good untucked. Anyway, I was merely commenting how it's interesting that a brand who's popularity has waned continues to hold on to the "untucked button shirt = Boo" crown in so many people's minds.

They've gone up in price and aren't really worth it anymore. Used to be able to purchase them for relatively cheap, and a lot of times they would reach sales. Now they're pretty expensive and people buy them up, otherwise I would probably still buy a few. Same thing is slowly happening to Gitman, but at least Gitman has some cool prints coming out.

(And the buttons on the tee are not good)

Also last week I went into Sydney's and they had some awesome blazer samples in size 48 (slim) for $150. You should buy one.

I also don´t like how the sns looks under the TOJ (specially buttoned that way) but, damn son!, you look badass. Not even the little pompadour sticking out of the beanie can take away the toughnes of the fit.

Yeah, popularity on SF waned. I was never a BoO but there shirts are waaay short so they probably fit the bill. I think elisix(sp) just wants to dress like a regular casual guy but in his thirties and not look like a fashion poof or anything (i.e. not like many here, often including me). If I wanted to do that I'd mix something like this:

APC (jeans, boots, outerwear)
Kitsuné (Sweaters, sweatshirts, polos)
Boo (for shirts)
Some Nike hi vintage and say common projects for sneakers
Porter or something like that for bags

Maybe spice it up wit a few Junya and Geller pieces and call it a day.

Now if you ask me well I haven't bought a tee or dress shirt that wasn't Uniqlo in quite a while and pretty much always tuck unless I want to have the shirt show under a sweater or something relaxed like that.

To each his own - nothing fits me better than a BoO shirt straight off the rack. They are also easy to procure at sale. Not to mention their Martin Greenfield suits rock. Probably actually comprises most of my wardrobe.
