jeans are perfect, i'm sitting down and theyre riding up.
Thats precisely the problem though, they are perfect. jeans aren't supposed to be "perfect" by trouser standards. They're supposed to at least break. sure, cuffed/cropped denim looks good with some looks (hell, I have a pair of jeans that i wear cuffed/cropped), but almost every single one of your fits would look better with stacks. i know this has been beaten to death, but it's such a simple thing and would improve your fits so much.
haha, oh, those. Those are my high waters, remember?
Don't worry guys, I wear a few breaks in my jeans sometimes. But as it stands, I'm not slim enough to rock skinny enough jeans to stack properly. Stacks have to be very flat against each other for it to look good, at least in my eyes. My stacks are never very flat, and it just looks like a mess at my ankle and makes it look like I got a super weird looking leg because my leg is very narrow where it meets my ankle. I like no stacks because it keeps more volume towards the end of my leg.
clothing dysmorphia may be a good way to put it, brad.
gdl, the fit is pretty damn amazing and you are seriously miles ahead of any guy your age. One complaint though, is that the bottom half looks comparatively sloppy to the top. Pants are sorta shapeless and stack funny, boots add to the sort of thrown together vibe. But it's still fucking awesome
You know what : I thought of going 100% earthy tones with the brown suede boots, and then thought I wanted a different vibe so I went with the CP derbies. I can see that it would seem "incongruous" as we are used to seeing derbies with clean trousers and a more Jil/Raf/Ervell aesthetic but I enjoyed making that slightly off choice today. The beige sole also worked well with the color of the Dries IRL.
Brown boots would have been a good choice of course.
reedo - I'm not sure which outfit you're referring to given the mention of boots. I am almost 40 so I go for a slightly more relaxed jeans fit than often seen here. Still APC NS and KMW Rocker type of jeans but nothing more skinny or tapered for me.
