it's not just a full length dress.  it's a full length dress that sweeps the floor.  

if done right, it could look pretty cool.

the asian dude in the pic above looks way better imo. the open bottom gives it a duster look. coupled with the hat, its a cool western vibe. i dig that. would love to rock a duster ala clint eastwood.

you're right, it looks a bit different, but same idea.

The shoulder seam isn't raglan, which helps a lot imo.
