Do it yourself friends are always busy.. I hate calling in favours.. this was pretty complicated. We ended up using some dead space above our basement stairs and a hallway closet for this. Had to saw through beams, move electrical, build a box with proper venting, patch everything back up etc.

Took my carpenter about a day to do @ 50$ an hour.
