You really are an angry tranny.

Truth be told, if you had the dough to blow on all designer everything, you would. You're on a a fashion forum, don't kid yourself.

have you read any of his other posts? there's a whole lot of context to be taken in along with that post.

the fit was bad but ronnel's reasoning was way off. and melon, dude could've been wearing $600 gucci khakis or whatever and the fit wouldn't have been changed all that much. maybe the dude doesn't have enough money to have a fleshed out baller wardrobe but really likes those sneakers so he got them and wore them with the other clothes he has. criticize the end result based on the end result and not how much it cost to get to it.

edit: I realize that it could be construed that I was saying that the poster's items worked together, but I wasn't – it was a hypothetical answer to an ronnel's question.

Yes, I would. And most of my stuff is designer, though not as status as yours. I don't see how this is relevant? Nobody is saying designer is bad.

1)i guess negative behaviour/perceived negative behaviour justifies the same thing in turn...

2) i think his watches belie that - not that i knew that without the watch talk following some fits

but whatever, i don't really care. people, keep on trucking as you happen to truck.

I wouldn't know redface.gif But I was answering ronnel's hypothetical, detached from that poster's outfit.

I know it's been stated already, but is there any reason why you've been posting people that aren't yourself in a WAYWT thread?

Great fit SVB, I really like the colours together.

who knows why toasty does anything

one of my favorite moments in this threads was when ronnel made like 6 posts basically bragging about all the expensive shit he owns, and tsuji showed up and posted a pic of his RM. was lolworthy.

Toasty's brain is like a sold out 3-ring elephant circus that's caught fire

while shitty, his posts are better than this abomination of an analogy.

you can do better!

I'm pretty new to this forum and have only really began to step up my wardrobe in the last 6 months or so.

As anyone who knows me from outside of this forum can attest, I've always been into watches, cars and other rather expensive hobbies. However now that I am getting older (30), and possibly a little wiser, my interests have shifted towards my wardrobe more. I would say that I have replaced significant portions of my wardrobe in the last 6 months, but I have been quite selective in what comes in - mostly due to budget. Though it does seem as though I may have prioritized things a little differently to how some of you guys might have. I don't necessarily agree that this is wrong though.

For me, it's started with shoes. I've gone from having a cupboard full of Tigers, Gola's and other very common sneakers, to a few pairs each from brands like Lanvin, Grenson, Mr Hare, Common Projects, Mark McNairy and so on. I am not listing these out to name drop, but to simply indicate that I am trying to create some variety and increased quality in the shoes I wear every day. I have been approaching this 'shift' from the position of spending more money on my shoes, and then slowly switching out the clothing items to suit. I get that Levi's and J.Crew may not be on the same tier as Lanvin, but the outfit works IMO.

I have spent very little on t-shirts, socks etc, but I have justified spending more on denim, chino's and shirts from Acne, A.P.C etc. I actually wear a few J.Crew shirts because they fit me well and they're inexpensive. In an ideal world, I think I would dress more like those on MC Casual - and a good part of my wardrobe fits in there more. Chino's, brogues and a blazer is a great look, however I work in IT and what you see me posting is what I wear to work daily. If I dressed like MC Casual every day, it would actually be out of place and possibly inappropriate. My office is literally full of guys in Metallica T's and black denim - period. However that's the way many web developers choose to dress.

I actually come onto forums like this to learn about some of the different choices to make, and I don't expect to learn everything overnight. I don't want to simply copy what everyone does either. So if what I decide to wear at the end of the day isn't 'SF approved' like so many seem to aspire to, then so be it. I'd still like to participate and see what others are doing and how it might work for me if I should like the look. Some of the guys on this forum, this thread more specifically, are so unbelievably rude that it makes it pretty difficult for many to participate. I've got a thick skin so it doesn't bother me so much - though I expect that there would be plenty who have taken a step away very quickly due to some terrible attitudes.

Can I just add, I watch this thread much more than I ever post, and I see so many different styles contributed daily. Some of them I look at and wish I could pull off - others I look at and can't believe how many people are loving it because in my eyes they're plain, too grungy etc. We're individuals - and the moment everyone starts simply copying each other and creating a cookie cutter 'look', the more boring our lives will be I am sure. Let people be creative and allow them to learn from others rather than acting like you're better than them, simply because you follow the forums approval more closely. You might just learn something yourself.
