(I premise this post with a simple confession: I like you in stitches. I really do. You seem like a nice guy).
What I have feared has come to past:
But anyway, in stitches you are killing this thread. It's not only the volume of posts (which is huge), but it's the fact that you're turning this thread into another in stitches SF circle jerk thread: everyone is just joking back and forth, explaining to you strange and funny SW&D threads as you befuddingly (but nicely) try to comprehend them. And that would be fine, except this comes at a price: if we're all busy patting each others backs and being best e-buds, we can't provide meaningful criticism, which is what this thread is actually good for.
Where would SVB be if people hadn't ridden him for 6 months to stop wearing his pants too long?
Where would snowman be if people hadn't told him to get rid of his godawful frames?
You can't have this type of feedback in a thread has been in stitched. Sorry.
I know everyone is going to call be a jerk, etc., but look back over the last 5 pages. What has the conversation been dominated by?
People discuss fits when there are fits worth discussing. When there isn't, people talk about other stuff. I mean, there's only so many times you can tell Benesyed that his clothes are too shiny. There's been a lot of solid fits lately with not much to say and very few where you can clearly identify problem areas.

I know that you don't step outside of SW&D much, but take a gander at some of the other forums. I'm not talking about a lull in the conversation (which is inevitable and natural), but a particular type of shift which is fostered by in stitches post-spamming in his befuddled, friendly way. It encourages e-buddy circle jerks, which, while wonderful elsewhere (it's the entire purpose of Dumb Threads), suck the life out of this thread.
Edit: To reiterate: I like you in stitches. We can be e-buds all day long. But -- and I say this without malice -- just don't kill this thread. You've jumped from 40 posts to over 100 in the last, what, 4 days? And none of them have contained any real content.
one time, my mom sat me down and had a very serious conversation with me that she'd be 100% ok with it if i were gay. i'm not gay.
I had a female roommate do this to me. In retrospect she was probably hoping that I would try to prove her wrong by jumping her. Which wasn't ever going to happen because she was fugs.
stitch is a cool guy (in a Switzerland kind of way), but he comments on everything, everywhere, all the time. I mean, joking about his post count aside, I have no fucking clue how anyone can post that much, that often, and that consistently, everywhere, all the time.
aigt tegs. i like you too, buddy. first, a few things.
1. i am not befuddled, i request you stop using that term, it is condescending. i ask questions, but i am not befuddled.
2. i have provided real content when applicable. most recently, regarding cuff v. shoulder tailoring, with you actually. when someone says things like, their family thinks they are gay, and that turns into a tangential conversation, i engage, forgive me.
3. you really do ascribe a lot of power to me, to think that i have changed the entire vibe of the thread, and that directly related to my being here, is a lack of communicable criticism to those who post fits. im honored.
anyhow, you can have your thread back, as an experiment. lets see what happens, if any great changes occur. it has been fun, and i have learned some good stuff. thanks to those who have explained stuff to me, and oh dear g-d, who have been friendly.
