Yes, this is the one I meant. Apologies, I know I was quoting a response to a quote or whatever. I must track down one of these sweaters...

Nothing special, just wanted to contribute and share these lilies.

Last night's no-vis entailed Margiela highs, kva pants, rick tees, and a cloak bomber. The result was lots of people trying to stroke my coat, a comment that my shoes were "very nineties," lots of really uncomfortable heterosexual men unsure of how to deal with shifting gender boundaries or sexuality of any kind, and some genuinely unpleasant homophobia and general confusion following discussions of perfume (You mean aftershave, right? Wait, like, women's perfume?) and men's sneakers, ranging from a vaguely unpleasant "Did you just check that guy out?" to several overtly disturbing declarations of "You Gay."

Do better, world.

Where were you? Those reactions are crazy even by SZ standards.

Almost all my tees could stand to be a little longer.  I'm exactly 6', which isn't super tall, so I don't understand why it's such a problem.  Sizing up on this tee would have probably made it too large in all other dimensions, so I went with a Medium.

I'm 6' 1", and I hear ya on the length issues. It shouldn't be that hard to keep your belt buckle covered at a slightly above-average height. I've found the following to be fairly generous in terms of length without being mu-mu-esque in the other dimensions:

- American Apparel summer "loose crew" (TTS, but kind of inconsistent in sizing)
- BLK DNM (size down 1, wash cold, hang to dry)
- Silent (size down 1)
- Odyn Vovk (size down 1 or TTS)
- Acne limit (size down 1), although I found the sleeves to be kind of short and boxy

Maybe it's time for an "official slutty t-shirts" thread. laugh.gif

With a bunch of post-grads from various fields. It was...baffling, more than anything. Depressing, too.

I was at a pub like a week ago with friends and when they noticed how long and drapey my sruli recht tee was, they asked me if I was wearing a dress shog[1].gif. Whatcha gonna do?

mon cher synthèse, while i hate to generalize the post-grad is usually the most insecure character you can meet. having suffered through a tormenting half-decade of study only to find himself in limbo, no longer employable due to over-qualification with specialized knowledge but absolutely lacking in any experience, the sole route left is that of a damp dark basement office appointment as adjunct or junior faculty to slave away yet some more trying to increase publication count but overburdened with the responsibility shirked by senior colleagues which is teaching mind-numbing undergraduate general ed. material to a bunch of mouth breathers who don't appreciate the genius that he, the post-grad, considers himself to be, far too sophisticated to be encumbered by the drool of hung-over slobs in their sweatpants and uggs.

so naturally this psychological stress spills into their flowery comments on any and all things that may bring others joy

Apparently you've never been to Texas . My son goes to a fairly upper crust school and I was just in a black tee rag and bone cardi and denim my hair is just a side pomp and this lady looked at me the other day like I wa about to rape her. Very uncomfortable. I even had to say "uh hi" in a sarcastic tone so she would stop looking at me . She just forced a smile and kept walking. So for him to show up like that would be a public stoning, and not in the good way lol.

I like that, and I really really like those jeans. The only thing I would change is the shirt, which just looks too conservative for my own tastes. The skyline photography is also is really calling for something "breezier." Like a cream blazer.
