Why not take advantage of some of the online offers and try frames at home for free. IIRC, Warby Parker does this (order 5 frames tot ry on at home, don't have to pay).

I wear glasses too, and completely agree. I got 10+ years out of my last ones, so I want to be sure I liked the new ones I bought.

maybe i just dont get SWD yet. confused.gif

Ha it's sort of tween's signature, he was inspired by Japanese streetwear lookbooks, iirc.

You're one of the first MCers to come here in a while with an actually positive approach, it seems like you're interested in what we do here which is cool. It takes a while to get accustomed to some of the styles here, but soon enough they'll have you inspired to branch out a bit yourself, you'll see biggrin.gif

I think people forget that GDL is a MC superstar also - yet people who respect his opinion there couldn't give two shits about anything here.

What was most telling about that experimental thread that Fok created was the difference in mindset.

While we're doing glasses talk, anybody know of frames like these that aren't like $700? Really into the metal / tort combo. Linda farrow does a similar one, but the pricing is not much better.

The first rule here is forget everything you know about rules.

actually saw a similar pair downtown just today, will see if I can find a link

edit: I remembered wrong, weren't really that similar

but here's a pic anyway (Click to show)

Aw yea, well gdl has been a SW&D fixture for as long as I can remember, and his buys are so damn good I always forget he wasn't at first one of us

it's gonna be hard to find something like that, but you might find something on warby parker or a similar site. if you have health insurance that can cover, maybe mykita.

Look for the Gregory Peck model by Oliver Peoples.

OP is just as expensive. glasses prices are so fucking whack, no appreciable difference between $100 frames and $700 ones.

Dude OP is like half the price and can be had on ebay for $200

I've bought OP sunglasses direct for $350
