I'd recommend mastering basic fits before going for the gusto.

No, it's ok. You don't need to explain. Just uhoh.gif , is all.

not into clothes, the oldest is only 18.
but they do live 5 mins from the beach! its pebble-y so bring vibram toe shoe-things hehe!

my problem with the fit is that the pieces individually fit well, but together its confused. tight short jacket with anti fit pants isnt working, at least in this fit. sorry dude!

i think its a good fit. Thanks for the support hendrix.

Rincon, I think the whole idea is that I am not a fan of traditional fits. I do pretty well on those and so I don't bother posting it since thats not what I need direction with. Moreover, most of my basic fits dont feel right to me. I wear them more out of necessity because where i live/work rather than enjoyment. I think these more loose Y's inspired fits are the right direction. Thanks for your input tho. Especially for being civil about it happy.gif

ffg, dante did not like the shortness of the jacket either but i like the contrast between it and the pants. To each their own i suppose smile.gif

yeah, i guess i was a bit harsh, but the jacket is short and rolls awkwardly, and the pants, rather than draping, just give him a diaper butt that sags in the middle

I'm holding out for a better pic (no mirror shots! unobstructed backdrop!) before I make any "final judgments," but the Ben fit looks like it could be pretty cool.

haha i know i should just go outside and take a pic but i feel SO weird doing it smile.gif
post #76692 of 117677

do it anyway, you won't be able to get real constructive criticism or compliments before you start doing that fing02[1].gif

"Feeling weird" is something you'll need to build an immunity against if you continue on with the aesthetic you're experimenting with.

Anything in the Yohji fit circle usually seems hampered by unnatural poses (e.g. holding up a big honking DSLR like you're dangling food over the head of a starving dog) and mirror shots. Find a sparse background or an open space where you can catch a snap of yourself in motion, or at the very least, a more relaxed pose.

The Broadway swap-meet vendor employees on their smoke breaks always look at me funny when I wander up the alley with a camera, place it on a ledge or something, and then take a photo of myself. But sometimes they say "nice suit, dawg," or something like that, so I think they're alright. You'll get used to it.
