But pretty legit alternative I think. and actually functional with the stretchy panels.

Looks good - where from again?

Isn't the vest a bit too shiny to be "dad"? At any rate, I appreciate the feedback. Perhaps a crisp solid color shirt would make the vest work?

Shiny vest is basically requiremente numero uno to join the dad club. Preferably goLite, these days, because even in Boulder we think NF is played out. But yeah, maybe a solid shirt. Untucked OCBD, uncuff the jeans, hey presto (?)

Good on you; like I said, it's not really my cup of tea. But yeah, they're still chunky.

I mean, to me, the (orange?) watch band and the buttons make this look nice and interesting, and who knows, maybe with the good fit on the jeans, sort of tie everything together in a way that transcends the Dad.

Also, around here, this is not dadwear, so there's that.

Regarding the vest, pair it with black jeans and a white Uniqlo oxford and you can be tween spirit.

See that's pretty much what I was going for. And I don't know too many dads who wear that kind of belt...

Going untucked would just take that touch away from me...

^ Well I generally don't make a habit of mixing browns and blacks. I also don't own a single decent white oxford...

So so many sick fits lately, really need to get my tripod fixed (missing literally one piece) so I can find a sweet wall and post icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

and also so I can take a picture anywhere but my horrible wood paneled house

were you thinking of this?

I say if he just folds his collar properly so it's standing up and not looking like a leisure suit, and then stands up the vest collar so it holds the other collar in place, it will look a million times better.  I hate the shirt but I'm a sucker for garbage bag jackets (not so much vests, but whatever) so keep on keeping on

Me? A dad? Ha ha, good heavens, no! Would a dad wear... this?!? *quickly but awkwardly unzips dadvest and unbuttons dadshirt to reveal a Wayne's World t-shirt, which is also tucked into my pants* Party time! Excellent! Weeooweeooo... but if you don't believe that, well... *taps embossed leather Garfield belt buckle* don't think I know too many dads down with the original fat-cat himself wink.gif *tries to do that "raise the roof" arm motion but loses balance and trips over orthopedic shoes and knocks over a shelf, causing the entire Fleetwood Mac discography (on CD) to rain down upon my head, rendering me unconscious*
