shoes: Polo Ralph Lauren brogues

I dont get it. I don't think the jacket thing works well with the rest of that look. Everything else is pretty bland and it makes that jacket look out of place.

I think you could do something cool with the jacket. Just not what you did there smile.gif

for some reason I don't mind that trench bolero thing too much

but here's an alternative: cut off the sleeves and attach them to a leather/denim vest if you have one. boom

thanks for the input. the jacket is meant to be a transitional piece so I can wear it from spring to summer as a layering piece without sweltering from the heat. I cropped the jacket so I can wear it with bold patterns such as the jumbo gingham shirt. I also wear it with my "birds of paradise" print polo shirt and my art deco print shirt. It's just a fun piece for layering.

np, I just think (and this just be my frame of reference) that the cropped jacket evokes femininity, which is not bad, but makes me think avante garde peice. The only other thing sort of like that was some juun j panel jacket.

MC I think if you replaced that polo with a tucked crisp white buttoned shirt - short or long sleeved, or maybe a bibbed Margiela shirt like regis has or a hidden placket CKC shirt - it would be a lot cleaner. I don't like the "frat" look even slightly, and to be honest can't imagine why you'd be "going for" that.

That polo is not very fratty. Looks like it could be in some collection that was trying to like deconstruct/mock the fratty look. Solid white polo would do well if you just wanna go all in on that frat look. Or the white tucked in shirt.

If you wanted color and extra frat points, white shirt with some pattern like sailboats or champagne or something else that says hi i love RLP/BB/TH. Throw on a knit tie, something with blue stripes to match the pants, but not if you go patterned shirt. Unless you really were trying to go for mocking the frat look approach by blowing up and oding the stereotypes. But that would also be ugly.

How do the ckc shirts fit sizing wise?

Very slim, much like OG helmut lang. Go up at least one neck size (or marked size for the s-m-l stuff), and if you have any muscle at all on your body, skip right over the ones marked 'slim'. If you're new to the label don't buy without ability to return.

They are nice, though, tapered through the chest-waist with a slim but not tiny collar. I have a bunch I can no longer wear due to bulking hah.

This also applies to the sweaters. Their suits are very much tts, however.
