Zoolander didn't parody a specific aesthetic, it wasn't aimed at "real world" fashion. It parodied a subculture: the people in fashion and how retarded they are (or at least how retarded the public thinks they are).

it definitely parodied the idea of a fashion designer drawing inspiration from the homeless and the idea that people would want to purchase those clothes and dress like that, thereby parodying an aesthetic, even second hand.

I guess they had a little quip about Galliano but I think it was more anecdotal than anything else. The looks weren't based on aesthetics that were current or dominant but on how stupid, dsconnected and vacuous fashion people can be, about the culture in fashion circles.

On the other hand I don't see the link with the comment I made on Comme going counter to current aesthetics but having it relatively easy anyway due to borrowing from fine arts ideas and a public already familiar with them.

I think this discussion has occurred many times.

We all already know:

1. This stuff is largely contextual.
2. Architectural features can make you look good (including but not limited to MC rules) or interesting.
3. Playing with said architecture can make you look interesting in context.
4. Each of these things are somewhat subjective.

Because it was Xhale. It always is.

Actually, can Fok chime in and clear up what originally got Xhale banned? He seems easily agitated, but the mods seem to have a really quick trigger finger when it comes to zapping every new account he makes, especially since a few other people here seem to skate by despite regularly instigating conflict.
