The jeans are new, I'm hoping they shrink a bit in the wash.

The shoes are Bed:Stu that I thrifted, but I colored them a darker brown with polish because they were an awful grey before.

Christ, ok....

So, I need to get the jeans taken in. The shirt I don't think would be worth tailoring. Anything else? Going out to see if I can buy a decent pair of light brown shoes this weekend.

I have a boxy frame, large chest and large thighs from playing rugby, and am starting to build my wardrobe somewhat from scratch since I just moved and got rid of a lot of stuff. Any ideas would be welcome.

Re shoes, don't get square toes.
I guess you should stay simple and try to get well fitting clothes. Jeans and a Oxford

No. You need to root through your waste basket and dig out the receipt, then go to the store you bought those jeans at and return them. The problem isn't your physique, it's those jeans. They're too big. You need to go back and spend some more time trying on different jeans.

And get rid of that shirt too.

you need to get new jeans, not to get those taken in.

Unless you find a tailor that can take out a shirt, I agree;
