I think it could potentially work...just not with those shoes or that top

Why exactly is this jacket tough to wear?

Looking better everytime you wear it that's for sure.

It weighs like 50 lbs.

Too summery? It's quite heavy actually, and I like the colour contrast.

the great cut takes it away from dad jean territory.  Successfully lightens the fit.  If you wore white jeans, which has the same effect except more exaggerated, people would be creaming their pants.

Took a quick snap on way back to work, bit too sunny for the iphone. Click for an alternate that's just as blurry.

dries on top / jeans, carpe on bottom doesn't really work for me. thumbs up to the top half, though.

Today's fit is inspired by Madlib's album Shades of Blue

What boots are those? Margiela?

Tirailleur1, your pants are just too high, man. I can see the outline of your dick even from this far.

Half inch higher, on the other hand, would.

Sorry you stayed up to watch that loss. Hopefully they'll come back, but it's not looking good. I'm a Devils fan. They're tied up with Florida right now. I think they can win it though.

Cue sq's post with MS paint pictures illustrating how Hendrix wears his pants too high.

looks good, man, though I think a scoop neck (like this, but you can probably find one cheaper) would be cooler than the v

Tiralleur, you're working that hat. I wouldn't figure a wide brim would look good with a coat and tie, but I like it. Nice.

You are correct in your assessment that I'd rather not pay $144 for a scoop neck.

I like the idea of contrasting the v the jacket lapels create with a scoop instead of echoing it with a second v, but I have yet to find a scoop neck I'm really happy with. Alt A and Zara shirts are ok but too short, and all the Asos u-necks I've tried kinda sucked. Also, I have yet to find a tri-blend u-neck. Really, if AA would just make a u-neck version of the tri-blend deep v, I'd probably buy one in every color.

The only downside of a u-neck is that it's incrementally less sleazy than a deep v.
