you mean Dallas (I know you do)

edit: or maybe I don't know you do. did you mean miran is imagining all the oil money in Houston? in any case, Highland Park is in Dallas. GCB exaggerates, of course, but its wild flowers grow out of the manure of truth, or something

God help us when they bring back Dallas this year. uhoh.gif

Noobizor, you are on a crusade to defame TX here.  I don't believe you, ot can't be all trailor parks and red-necks as you describe...that must just be your neck-of-the-woods.  Sure, there must be patches like King of the Hill...but GCB must be rooted in some form of reality too....not to mention Dallas (JR Dallas, not the city)...Dallas is even dubbed into Greek!  We have seen how you live!!!!

I can see myself fitting into the GCB world actually....I just need to change the way I talk...maybe a move to TX is in my future, I am not averse to TX in any way.

Haha, I said nothing about rednecks -- again your imagination gets the best of you. foo.gif

Now that you mention it, though, King of the Hill can be very accurate in terms of that certain intermediate city suburban life (Arlen being a mishmash of Arlington and Garland), but for my money, Friday Night Lights is still the best evocation of small town Texas life.

GCB has more in common with chick lit than it does...well, anything else.

I actually love King of the Hill.

My favourite character is the neighbour Kahn, the Laotian guy.  I can see him being a member of Styleforum actually, MC of course.

I can see you being very similar to Cotton Hill, Hank's dad.  Same build as well.

I wouldn't want to live in Arlen though.

Who cares if it's chick lit...those houses look wonderful.

Snow The trousers are 100% Virgin Wool

Dmash I've had some clones made of some RLPL linen shorts that fit me perfectly but i have not been able to find anywhere in other colors. All year round its either linen or light wool/viscose along with some blends. I have a small obsession over virgin wool right now and 3/4 of my wardrobe is linen, which is nice when July/August hit
