Could work with the right blazer, not that one though. Too black and looks like an orphaned suit jacket.

I have to disagree with the color working on Fuuma's fit. I can get behind the coat and even the green sweater and dashes of white, but that blue in the pants wrecks the vibe. Different pants and it would be a knockout.

Does not work, the key to mixing levels of formality is to do it throughout the outfit and not dressy top, casual bottom. That shit is #menswear and doesn't work.

agreed

Regardless if it's an OCBD, it's a very formal top; if you didn't see the bottom, you could easily mistake the fit for a full suit... it's incongruent

fuuma's not talking about one or two elements of svb's outfit. i mean, he just posted a casual fit pic with a pocket square and ocbd. svd's wearing clean blazer, knit tie, pin, and ocbd with faded/cuffed jeans and dirty bucks. all dressy/clean top and all casual/distressed out bottom definitely don't work well.

if he just switched the bucks with formal brown shoes and wore not so faded jeans with clean breaks, it would've taken some of the incongruity away.

of course most people on the street wouldn't notice this and svb probably got a lot of complements but this is styleforum foo.gif
