In the meantime—any advice on how to weird shit out? My fits are really, really plain. confused.gif

i think with basics its best to "weird" them out with fit and detail--its all in how you wear it, imo.

http://shop.havenshop.ca/collections/mark-mcnairy/products/for-haven-dirty-buck-cap-derby-boot
with some jeans, cuffed of course. or tapered raws with stacks
plus a blue knit (ervell-esque)
and some cool outerwear like a fishtail

i think all that should be in your comfort zone but the details would "up it a notch"

im thinking of a toned down scott m here redface.gif

Man I can't get 50 feet from my front door without seeing 2-3 ppl wearing that shit. CDG played out. of course it's probably knock-offs here.

^ I like the way the shoelaces interact with the plaid, may be accidental or just the photo but it looks really cool

The black & grey cross-stitching pattern that the shoelaces create looks good with the black & grey plaid pattern of the shirt.

My goodness, a very reasonable, conservative outfit in the WAYWT? I am actually shocked by how effortless this looks in comparison to so much in this thread. It's a little "boring" or whatever there's no missteps. It's just simple, friendly, and done well.

you basically just used "boring" as a compliment.

thewho13 looks fine. above average, all his stuff fits, and its aesthetically congruent. but it's nothing out of the ordinary. not that there's anything wrong with that.
