this man is half correct

just because you wear it underneath an overcoat does not mean the shoulders are not slightly small on you

Gonna try something about the hair sometime this coming week, but here's try #2. I feel like sneakers work better, but that's just me.

(Also: is it possible to get the sleeves on a shirt "taken in?" I feel like they're a bit baggy here...)

Yeah pretty sure it is. Don't think it costs much money.

That being said I think you have an eye, or an idea, of what you think looks good but have to make do with subpar items. Also the photography is bad, or at least really unclear. Are you wearing black jeans or brown cords? Is that a button up a polo?
I like the idea of light blue shoes, dark pants, light slightly oversized sweater, and light blue shirt, but I don't like this outfit to be honest. I think if you got better pants and a good fitting shirt from UNIQLO this outfit would look much better for not much more. The sweater seems ok but whatever is underneath is seems to be messing with the fit. Also +1 parker hair.

I wish I could afford stuff like schneider and Ervell, but not,

thank you! yeah the photo isn't great, I apologise. They're just black jeans, and the shirt is a levi's denim shirt.

Thanks for all the advice :3

thewho13 - Pants and longwings look ok (w/ the kind of early 60's vibe you've got going w/ hair/glasses). IMHO your shirts are the problem. Someone suggested UNIQLO ocbd, and I think that would really work for you. Plus, they're cheap! As Fuuma noted, an obcd would improve your first sweater look too. Even the right T would work, as the shoes look worn in and not to dressy.
