For whatever reason hendrix, I can never get behind your bizarre color palettes or strange style mishmashes

if i had to try this i would go with black waxed denim black shoes (or white sneakers) and solid color tank, either white or something that contrasted nicely with the pistacchio green thing that it is. at least he stopped eating those wheat craps or whatever they were he used to show in his fit pics.

that said , i don't know if it's the london fog but you are calling everyone weird/bizarre/strange lately and frankly it worries me.

nah, I agree. Hendrix has interesting pieces but his eye for color combos is wonky, that's usually my issue with his fits. The cuts, patterns, and textures, etc are fine but he seems to choose odd colors and then really mish-mash them together so they just don't gel.

I agree i often mess around with colours and get it wrong, but the colours in this one are really pretty normal. The camera fucks with it all the time i can never get it right, but anyway the blazer is a light blue, nowhere near pistacchio green, and the pants are navy.

I think hendrix is just bad at taking photos, I have the same problem.  Everything looks ok to me in the second photo.

I would say: pant cuffs are wack with the rest of things, shoes are too clunky (from what I can see) for something so otherwise light (in color), rolled blazer sleeves are a little...to much, and blazer length might be too long to be so casual (?). Maybe just unbutton it?

A few things about Hendrix's fit:

1) The blazer is both not 'MC modern' nor SWD 'vintage'. The low gorge and low buttoning point, along with the soft shoulder and rolled sleeves does not vibe. This blazer would benefit from both a stronger shoulder and higher buttonong point, and a more structured lapel and notch.

2) The bottom half is too stark for the top. The top is trying to be fun and flashy while the bottom is homeless goth. I would bring in lighter pants, or a darker blazer.

3) The shoes are really chunky looking - loafers would work well here.

4) I would roll down the sleeves.

I agree about the shoes, shoulda worn sneakers or something sleeker.

blazer length is perfect. dunno why you guys are getting up in arms about the rolled sleeves. it's just like a shirt, i didn't even think about it. I'm not sprezz-aculating all over the letterbox or anything.

Ok guys. 2 things.

1. Suggestions should try to avoid projecting your own taste as much as possible.

2. I am shitty at taking photos. The blazer is light blue, the pants are navy, the shoes are burgundy. If i get around to it i'll take another photo this afternoon.

Cheers.

You are right... I have a 27" calibrated Mac monitor and none of those colors are what I see. confused.gif

Hendrix - don't go all moo on us here. for what it's worth, what i said wasn't a suggestion but my take on how i would have done it (which shouldn't do anything for you but give you more insight into my tastes biggrin.gif ) based on my misinterpretation of what you had on. i thought it was green with navy pants and brown shoes, clearly i'm visually impaired. i like the idea of a jacket in shirting-like fabric, my ann is like that, i roll up the sleeves too. the fit of the jacket looked fine for what it was, length and all redface.gif

edit: toasty got toasted , is there anyone still sober on here now ???

I don't mind the colors, but rolled sleeves blazer on top of a striped T shirt comes off as an odd mix between prep americana laborer of the land and 70s neon disco

I see the colors perfectly Hendrix and thus makes me the most apt to give you honest criticism.

The colors do not work well together

And I make this mistake all the time but wearing bottoms that are way darker than the top or vice versa is very hard to pull off as your photo depicts.

Rolled up sleeves and that watch is an eyesore. You trying to monitor your heart rate during your stroll this afternoon?

FWIW, you talk about color palette and I see it clearly. It reminds me of a toddler...mature a little will ya??
