No, but I'm always skeptical about fasting.

I fasted once, for a week...not the Lent fasting or a similar prescribed thing...just avoiding food during the day, eating a small meal at night...

I actually gained a lot of weight...people tell me it's because of water retention(?)

I think if you fasted but with lots of vigorous activity during the day, you'd have different results but don't quote me on that....

Tween if you want to fast do intermittent fasting, google lean gains, if you put your fast so its during the day time when your working you probably won't need to avoid social occasions.

Oh no, I'm talking about literally ingesting absolutely nothing but pure water for at least a week

There have been plenty of times I've gone a day or two doing that but I'd like to try for longer, just to humor myself really and see if it does make my feel better in the end

im not following any form of diet necessarily, im not just doing the cut carbs shit. Its also the obvious shit like fruits/vegetables over snacks and shit. Honestly, quantity is the only thing I really need to change. Bread isnt inherently bad but I consume a lot of it, I'll just toast some slices and douse butter in them like its nobodys business when im studying late night, or ill eat lots of granola bars needlessly. It's mainly quantity for me, im still in good shape but I am worried about my metabolism drastically changing and causing me to get bloated, lol.

also when i say quit drinking I mean its frequency, lol.

Sounds like quite an endeavor. I have a hard enough time keeping it to 4 meals a day.
