WTF, is this one of those weird photoshop recombining of people (say the top of a footballer and the bottom of some old lady) we often see? You're like the MC guys wearing spread collars, ties and super formal jackets with raw jeans and some desert boots, thinking they look boss. In fact this outfit perfectly illustrates a tendency you have of cheapening outfits by adopting some American casual/going to the corner store elements, robbing your nice pieces of their impact. You own many great jackets and have a good eye for what works with your proportions without being blinded by brand loyalty but you should really stop this shit. Oh and Japanese fashion mags pushed NBs because they'll push every "traditional" brand at some point with no regards to aesthetics, NBs should be burned.

For as bland as many of my fits are (at least compared to others), I get some of the best comments this board has ever seen. biggrin.gif

Do not combine business casual pieces like chinos and an untucked button down with a sleek leather with straps and assorted aggressive hardware, it just makes you look like an IT guy who is really into technical metal but gotta look approachable at work.

What's wrong with experimenting? Yohji is a less accessible look that, with few exceptions, seems to carry the prerequisite of a period of trial and error. MoK may come to find the look doesn't work for him and abandon it. He may not. That's part of the fun of experimentation. It's not permanent and you can always call for a mulligan if you decide it's just not working out for you.

This is sad. I think it's time we patriarchs/colonialists reclaim the chino. Those are big-dick waving mlitary penis pants, dammit. They overflow with menace. They are dangerous!

MoK sleeves need to be shortened and slimmed down.  I think the gandalf style sleeves are an intentional thing that the designer did, but unfortunately they just don't work.

Obviously nothing wrong with experimenting. But "I still haven't found any Yohji trousers or shirts" implies some kind of necessity

It is really about what kind of image you want to project at work.

Wen wearing white pants/jeans it is usually a good idea to avoid white(ish) shoes as it can give you an hospital orderly look. It does here, a lot. You'd be much better with say mid brown suede shoes. I sometimes pair white jeans w. white Margiela hi-tops but it doesn't always work.

I love that I can wear this to work.

Dude, stop wearing some tight tops, you look like such a bro. You should get normal fitting button downs and roll up the sleeves or something if you want to show your physique. and same comments about white pants+white shoes.

I know the OL jeans get a lot of love, but I utterly fail to see how they look good. They're wide-legged (in a way that creates an unflattering silhouette), could probably use a hem, and are a pretty ugly color combination. I don't have a problem with washed-out jeans (see: NOBD's worn APCs), but the fades just look like super-fake pre-distressing (which they are). I can think of literally nothing about them that is aesthetically appealing.

I'm with you on that. I will say that as far as fake pre destressing goes, thats the least obnoxious route and I really like the soft washed out color but the cut obviously leaves something to be desired for the fashion set.

though if they're in line quality wise with the rest of OL's gear I bet the fabric is comfy as hell
