Point is that they're cropped pants, they're meant to fit short. I think you misunderstood and took my post as being defensive, it just amuses me that my height is always discussed as if it's an issue and it really isn't so long as my whole outfits proportions are correct, which they indeed are.

they...had no white tee shirts. mega fail.

it's for the same reason that 20384230483 people tell short people not to wear drop crotch pants or long coats. it's an annoying argument that's going to be brought up no matter what

Actually, Uncontrol, I beg to differ.

With no other information, there is no way of determining his height from this pic...he is standing in an alleyway with a vanishing point, and other than the window, there is no real reference for relative scale. Without going off topic, this is a fundamental trick in perspective that architects use this to illusory effect...

Anyways, the point is, this gentleman has no taste. With his pants, he is shortening his legs--his pants are well below his waist, his cuffs are rolled up inelegantly high, and he is wearing high-ankle boots to boot....all of which shorten his legs. It makes legs look like little stumps...

No taste.

Is this not the thread to discuss which proportions work best for the individual poster? It's hard to keep up with what's deemed acceptable.

I agree. The pants make his height look even shorter because the cuffs are too high. Notice the socks on the back being shown. High water pants. That means there was a flood somewhere and he had to raise his pants from getting the cuffs wet. That is what high waters mean. Pants look tiny like they shrunk.

Tiny pants, tiny shirt.

scott, maybe just photoshop your clothes onto a praying mantis or something; then we can avoid this in the future

To clarify, this was my suggestion:

Of course, if you're fine with it, it's cool.

^i'm guilty of having really short cuffs. I'm trying out new length this year. No cuff or cropped. A bit longer and taper.

I think the cardigan can work for you (I know how this actually looks in RL so I know its the angle that fucked this up), but the color contrast is making it look ugly too (pants with cardigan) Also dont like the fit of the pants with those shoes.

do you know where I could get a LUC cardigan right now besides atelier? lol

First fit is ace, I like the top as basic as it is.

also, little nitpick but I would prefer you wore the sneakers laceless in this fit to hide the white and just let the jeans kinda sink in with the sneakers.

looks fine as is, but I like stylin the bi color ones that way.
